WebBank (the "Bank") is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is an FDIC-insured, state-chartered industrial bank that provides customized consumer and commercial financing solutions on a nationwide basis.  WebBank is a leading provider of closed-end and revolving private-label and bank card financing programs.

Job Summary
The Vendor Management Program Manager reports directly to the VP Operational Excellence and is primarily responsible for day-to-day execution of the Bank's vendor management program.  Additional responsibilities include supporting WebBank's Enterprise Risk Management function.

  • Vendor Management
    • Schedule and coordinate Vendor Management Committee, including preparation of committee materials and minutes
    • Assist functional leaders within the Bank with the completion of due diligence for new vendors
    • Coordinate cross-functional monitoring activities for the Bank's critical vendor population
    • Assist with development and execution of testing plans for validating oversight activities of the Bank's strategic partners
    • Manage reporting schedules for critical vendor oversight activities
    • Participating in site visits for the Bank's strategic partners and/or critical vendors
  • Enterprise Risk Management
    • Assist with preparation, scheduling and coordination of Enterprise Risk Management Committee and Audit Coordinating Committee meetings
    • Prepare committee materials and take minutes
    • Assist with implementation of Lean process improvement initiatives
    • Assist with WebBank's policy governance structure
    • Assist with coordination of Bank-wide Risk Assessment activities
Position Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3-5 years of operational experience in the consumer and/or commercial financing sector under a bank regulated environment with experience managing third-party risk
  • Experience in Compliance, Internal Audit or a dedicated control testing function is highly desired
  • Experience dealing with regulators (FDIC, Utah Department of Financial Institutions) is highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of the current banking regulatory environment is required
  • Excellent ability to analyze complex issues and identify suitable solutions
  • Assertive Self-Starter, good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions
  • This position requires travel to client locations equivalent to 10-15% of time
  • Ability to interface effectively with other departments and operate in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
  • Outstanding initiative, attention to detail, and organizational skills required
  • Excellent analytical skills to determine areas in need of improvement and the ability to find creative solutions while considering all impacted stakeholders and processes
  • Ability to recognize and focus on critical issues.  Flexibility to balance and respond to competing needs within the organization

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to communicate effectively across a broad base including internal customers, external customers, and executive management
  • Solid working knowledge of various computer systems, software, and changing technology
  • Ability to plan strategically and execute tenaciously
