Job Summary
The Data Integration Specialist is a key member of the Analytics team and the evolution of our Data Warehouse.  This position will be responsible for the scripts and processes required to extract, transform, clean and move data and metadata, while participating in data acquisition and transformation delivery and may provide oversight and technical checkpoints to enforce standards and quality of business intelligence solutions.  This position designs, develops, implements and maintains ETL solutions for delivery to the data warehouse and data integration with applications.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain optimal ETL solutions
  • Develop automation of data acquisition, transformation and movement
  • Monitor and administer automated ETL processes to verify execution and measure performance
  • Ensure source availability, data integrity, job/database restorability and error handling
  • Build and enhance Python applications to collect data from APIs, batch files and source systems
  • Working with other developers and data engineers to evolve the culture of using data for decision making
  • Assist with database administration
  • Assist with the development of business intelligence and analytic reporting
  • Perform resource, technical and risk assessments
  • Create clear documentation of operating procedures, database object layout, workflow diagrams and database/job specifications
  • Manage and improve our data ingestion, manipulation, and delivery of both operational and analytical data sets throughout the business
  • Help guide the data structure of our Data Warehouse (DW) to provide timely, accurate and actionable information
  • Respond to reported issues, requests and inquiries of a technical or functional nature
  • Work with team members to build knowledge and provide backup assistance when necessary
  • Document changes and process along with completing the work; regularly communicate development status
  • Tie disparate partner trends together to facilitate a deeper understanding of our clients
  • Understand and follow industry best practices in all work performed
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with a diverse group of business people to gain an in-depth understanding of the company's business processes to support the delivery of usable information
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in MIS, Data Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of development experience involving the manipulation and analysis of large data sets
  • 5+ years or experience preparing and enriching operational data for analytical/reporting use
  • Expert experience developing ETL jobs in Python
  • Expert experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Expert experience writing and maintaining complex SQL statements
  • Other beneficial experience: SSAS, AWS, DBA, web services, web application development, Excel, Tableau, Cognos, SAS, Box, SFTP, Salesforce, SNL, banking/financial data experience
  • Self-motivated, innovative person with analytical, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to changes and new ideas
  • Ability to demonstrate history of positive customer communication and relationship management
